Helping Each Other Save Time & Be More Effective
To be effective in applying knowledge whether as a yoga therapist or teacher, doctor, coach, trainer, journalist or researcher, we need reliable resources and a structure for efficiently getting to what we need when we need it.
Since 2012, I’ve supported yoga teachers, therapists and trainers with organized, compelling, evidence-based materials—from full curricula to quick lessons—on anatomy, physiology, clinical research, and conditions like anxiety, chronic pain, hormonal issues, and more.
Over the years, our work expanded and Yoga Teacher Central is now a component of Wellness Resource Center, where we continue to provide knowledge in structured “lessons”, accessible via visual “hubs” that can be built like legos in customizable curriculums, manuals, presentations, notes, and handouts. I learned early on that content needs to be not just verifiable, but practical and shareable. That’s why our Download Library offers thousands of editable Word, PowerPoint, and PDF resources—ready for you to brand, customize, and share at the click of a button.
Working in the real world, questions and needs arise all the time... What yoga pose adaptations are best for students with knee issues, neck pain, sciatica, or SI joint issues? What are the verifiable root causes of autoimmune disease, hypertension, or vertigo? It can be an overly difficult task (and sometimes impossible) to find reliable sources to answer your questions at the moment they arise. A google search most definitely doesn’t cut it. And even excellent resources tend to offer articles that are in no particular order and cover various scopes and narrative approaches that take time to figure out. In other words, it can be strangely difficult to find the right knowledge at the right time.
Yoga Teacher Central and Wellness Resource Center make evidence-based sources organized, accessible and practical. You can quickly find what you need without going through the dark alleys of the web or wasting time on videos and articles that turn out to be too superficial or full of extraneous stuff, making it tedious to find what you're looking for.
Just as importantly, you’ll find that all information is presented in context — often sorely missing in the modern Internet age. Having context is vital for integrating knowledge and applying it in the real-world.
The structure enables you to quickly jump to what you need, whether that’s foundational knowledge and terminology or a specific application or detail. You can efficiently follow a progressive pathway to increase your knowledge in targeted areas. You’ll always find source lists with quick links to easily verify material and go deeper.
The Problems
We are each unique, requiring particular things at particular times. But we also face some common problems, including the following. These are free resources to make the facts and sources of this knowledge more easily accessible.
Our Toxic Load — The EPA says that more than 40,000 man-made poisons are in circulation.
Ultra-processed “Foods” — Processed food, junk food, fake food, fast food, energy drinks, diet drinks: a toxic, addictive cash cow with devastating outcomes on health.
Failed Health Outcomes — The U.S. spends nearly twice the per-capita amount on healthcare than the next highest spender, yet Americans are the most chronically ill, and rank 48th in life expectancy, among other countries. In addition, medical misdiagnosis causes permanent harm and death to 795,000 people every year.
Verifiably Corrupt — Establishment medicine as a system* is verifiably corrupt, serving the interests of industry — not health. (*Obviously, not every individual working in establishment medicine is unethical. Rather, the system that educated / indoctrinated them, and that sets policy, hires, pays, and promotes them is verifiably corrupted.)
Big Pharma & Biotech : Immoral Business Model — Corporations, by design, are beholden to profit above all else, acting as powerful entities that are “essentially psychopathic and without conscience.” Pharmaceutical and biotech companies are the utmost example of corporate psychopathy, demonstrating inhumanity in response to human suffering.
Regulatory & Professional Betrayal — Government agencies entrusted to regulate the field of medicine fail to do so. The majority of influential professional organizations such as the American Medical Association are corrupted by industry.
Not Evidence/Science-Based — The bulk of establishment medicine’s standard of care is not based on unbiased, reproducible science. (We prove it here.)
Harms, by Drug & Diagnostic — Establishment medicine providers routinely utilize diagnostic testing and “treatments” that cause harm (“adverse”, “side” effects). Get verifiable evidence of the harms, organized by drug, treatment, or test (mammograms, CT scans, antibiotics, statins, benzos, etc).
Corrupt & Failed Philosophy & Strategies — Establishment medicine (also called Rockefeller medicine) was created to exploit the profit potential of drug patents. Born from a compromised report published in 1910, this system does not acknowledge the conditions under which the human body creates health, nor does it seek to identify and resolve the root causes of illness. On the contrary, it suppresses symptoms with drugs, creating more symptoms and distracting efforts from true healing. Diagnosis is disconnected from the wisdom inherent in the purpose and message of symptoms.
The Solutions
Most of us can find solutions within the following resources. Many of these are also free, with some offering more support on the membership site that is accessible for less than $20 a month.
